Ginny Fields honored at Audubon Council of NYS's Spring Assembly
Ginny FieldsAt the Audubon Council of NYS's Spring Assembly, held the weekend of 19th – March 20th, 2010 at the Gideon Putnam in Saratoga Springs, Assemblywoman Ginny Fields, New York State Assembly was its William Hoyt Award Honoree. Great South Bay Audubon Society extends it congratulations to Assemblywoman Ginny Fields as the recipient of the William Hoyt Award. If you didn’t already know, Ginny Fields was instrumental in:

i. Having won a ten (10) year battle to save wetlands from development at Benton Bays, Oakdale, NY which is part of the Connetquot Estuary Important Bird Area;

ii. Having been part of the formation of Friends of Connetquot;

iii. A Past President of Great South Bay Audubon Society before jumping into the political arena where she continues to advocate on behalf of environmental concerns/causes.
