LOUISE TITUS MEMORIAL MID-WEEK TUESDAY NATURE WALKS
(Nature walks will be cancelled if it is raining or snowing.)

March 13th - Sunken Meadow State Park - 9:30 a.m. Meet in the northeast corner of the main parking lot.
March 20th - Jones Beach West End - 9:30 a.m. Meet at the Coast Guard Station parking lot.
March 27th - Heckscher State Park - 9:30 a.m. Meet in the west end of parking lot #5.
April 3rd - Jamaica Bay - 9:30 a.m. S.S. Pkwy to Belt Pkwy to Cross Bay Blvd. Exit onto Cross Bay Blvd South and look for refuge signs.
April 10th - Robert Moses State Park and Fire Island Lighthouse - 9:00 a.m. In conjunction with Fire Island Lighthouse Preservation Society. Meet Robt Moses parking lot #5 - N.E. corner.
April 17th - Hempstead Lake State Park - 8:00 a.m. S.S. Pkwy to Exit 18 (Eagle Ave), proceed S. to 2nd parking lot.Turn right and then left.
April 24th - Gardiner Park - 8:00 a.m. Entrance on S side Montauk Hwy (27A). From west, 1/2 mile east of Robt Moses Pkwy From east, 1 mile west of Brightwaters Canal.
May 1st - Jamaica Bay - 8:00 a.m. S.S. Pkwy to Belt Pkwy to Cross Bay Blvd. Exit onto Cross Bay Blvd South and look for refuge signs.
May 8th - Belmont Lake State Park - 8:00 a.m. Exit 38 off S.S. Pkwy. Meet in parking lot east side of lake.
May 15th - Hempstead Lake State Park - 8:00 a.m. S.S. Pkwy to Exit 18 (Eagle Ave), proceed S. to 2nd parking lot.Turn right and then left.
Note: All mid-week nature walks start at 9:30 a.m. and end at noon unless otherwise noted. Please see Hagstrom maps or Google Maps to confirm directions. We no longer schedule car pooling, but it is encouraged. If participants wish to car pool, arrangements should be made between themselves. January 21st - Connetquot Breakfast and Birding - 8:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Hosted by Friends of Connetquot.  GSBAS trip leaders: Bob & Edith Wilson, Ken Thompson and Helga Merryman.  RSVP required - call Connetquot State Park Preserve at 581-1072 to register.  Registration fee $4.00 plus auto entrance fee into State Park Preserve.
February 4th - Jones Beach West End - 8:00 a.m. Leader Mike Cooper - 821-2855. Meet in the parking lot by the Coast Guard Station.
March 3rd - Bob Laskowski Memorial Duck Walk - 8:00 a.m. Leader - Bob Grover - 669-4365. Meet in the Brookwood Hall parking lot off Irish Lane in East Islip. The focus is on wintering ducks on local lakes.
April 21st - Connetquot State Park - 8:00 a.m. Leader: Bob Grover and Ken Thompson
April 28th - Valley Stream and Jamaica Bay - 8:00 a.m. Leader: John Gluth and Steve D'Amato
May 6th - Central Park - 7:00 a.m. Leader: John Gluth, Peter Murphy and Nicholas Lavoila
May 12th - Alley Pond, Forest Park and Jamaica Bay - 7:00 a.m. Leader: Mike Cooper
May 19th and 20th - Sterling Forest and Bashakill - 7:00 a.m. Leader: John Gluth, Peter Murphy, Steve D'Amato and Nicholas Lavoila
May 26th - Jamaica Bay - 8:00 a.m. Leader: Michael McBrien
